CMAS Standards Meeting 2019

(CMAS members only)

The CMAS Standards Mid-Year Meeting will be held at the Novotel Hotel, Birmingham Airport (opposite the main terminal building) on Friday 8th November 2019.

The focus of the meeting is being brought back to its original aim of providing auditor training. This will ensure that all CMAS external auditors have good knowledge of the CMAS Standards and Checklists and the basic principles of conducting audits. It is now compulsory for all CMAS external auditors to attend either this meeting, or the AGM in April. As this meeting will now be focused on auditor training, it is also an ideal opportunity for any internal auditors to get additional audit training and more in depth understanding of the CMAS Standards.

The program will include:

  • Introduction to auditing
  • UKAS accreditation feedback (Bruce Carse – Glasgow West-Marc)
  • Auditor feedback/clarification (Colm Daly – CRC Dublin)
  • The surgical use and interpretation of gait data (Heather Read – Glasgow West Marc)
  • Move to electronic documentation and impact on auditing
  • Workshop – understanding the Standards and Checklists
  • CMAS 2020 – Roisin Delaney (Stanmore)

The meeting is free to attend for all CMAS members. However, when booking on to the event, you are required to provide invoice details (name, organisation, position and contact details). You will not be charged! However, if you do not attend on the day or do not inform us by Friday 1st November at the latest that you are unable to attend, then your organisation will be invoiced £45 to cover your place. CMAS members who are unable to attend are permitted to nominate a non-member colleague from their organisation to attend in their place.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please inform us of any dietary requirements when booking your place.
